Less stress, more success

Construction projects typically involve designers and contractors that are very skilled and passionate about the work they do and want your project to succeed in every respect. So why do so many projects end poorly? Typically it’s insufficient communication and not managing expectations of everyone involved, which results in exceeded budgets/schedules, stress and disappointment all around. Clear Path helps clients and contractors stay on track from design through completion. As another set of eyes on the work, documentation, billing, and scheduling, our consulting time is an invaluable asset to the project team and success of the project.

Our Services

Design Phase

Projects tend to go better when clients hire a design-build company, or the builder/GC is hired while the architects and engineers are planning the project. There is invaluable input and information exchange at this phase of the project, and it builds a team based on trust and mutual respect. Clear Path encourages time well spent during this phase, including the consideration of sound building science practices, home comfort and energy-efficiency, maintenance and future costs, and low-carbon/natural building systems.

Building Phase

This is where the excitement begins, as well as many changes to the plan. Unforeseen conditions, overbooked subcontractors, desire for a different kitchen layout… the list is endless and should be expected! It’s part of every project. By managing what happens as a result of and after the agreed upon changes are made is what makes a successful project. And everyone, the client included, is typically too busy trying to make the next decision about changes, finishes, or their summer vacation. By spending a few hours every week to update the budget/schedule, make projections, and ask the right questions, Clear Path allows everyone to focus on their primary role in the project.

Small-Project Management

Another service Clear Path provides is helping clients who choose to build or manage their own smaller projects. We help clients build a team of reputable and insured designers and contractors, create budget and schedule documents, and guide the clients through the project to use these tools through project completion.
